Barrick Gold Corporation is recruiting a high-caliber team of individuals for the development of its outstanding, world-class mining project the Reko Diq copper-gold mine in Balochistan.
Position: SOC Operator
Department: Security
Location: Reko Diq Mine Site โ Balochistan
Qualification: Minimum Bachelors, CCTV certification and computer experience advantageous.
Requirement: Strong written and verbal communication skills, Ability to identify small. apparently unnoticeable details that most people would ordinarily overlook, Ability to work in small teams, independently and to multitask, A strong work ethic, moral values and the courage to speak up required.
Experience Responsibilities: Previous military/police/private security experience highly advantageous though not compulsory.
Operate and monitor all surveillance security systems/cameras within the Security Operations Centre (SOC) in an efficient manner and in compliance with the operating procedure. Work in front of a bank of up to 20 different live or recorded video streams and constantly monitor and review them to ensure any incidents are detected and reported as soon as possible. Use and understand industry leading video surveillance and access control software systems alongside electronic incident recording and reporting platforms. Operate the position of the cameras to ensure any high-risk areas or activities are covered by surveillance at all times. Monitor anyone acting suspiciously and alert the Surveillance Senior Officer and other staff act of theft, vandalism or any other crime or incident. Monitor all staff working on site for their safety and to ensure they are carrying out safe work practices. Report/escalate all incidents immediately to the Senior Surveillance Officer as seen at the scene of any incident. Record all events, incidents and actions taken in a clear, legible and accurate written format using the electronic incident reporting system used at RDMC. Ensure the security of the SOC and equipment is maintained at all times and to report equipment failure to the Chief Security Officer or Management. Providing efficient and courteous radio and telephone answering service and deal efficiently with all enquiries. Ensure the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of all information gained in the Security Operations Centre. Maintain proper shift handing over at the start and end of every shift. Adhere to rules of confidentiality on security matters and commercial information.
Position: National Procurement Lead
Department: Procurement
Location: Karachi
Qualification: Minimum bachelors in procurement and/or supply chain management, business administration, or related areas.
Requirement: Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle. SAP Ariba. and/or Envision. In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel. Outlook, and Access). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience Responsibilities: Proven experience in a similar role managing supply chain operations.
Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective. Identify suppliers and vendors from Chagai district and Balochistan to build local presence where required. Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous temis. Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers. Approve purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services. Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements. Control the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs. Oversee and manage the IT systems that track shipments. inventory, and the supply of goods. Prepare procurement reports. Coordinate with finance for timely payments as per credit period designed with vendor. Coordinate with legal team to get contracts with vendors and suppliers finalized and signed. Have technical understanding of mining related machinery and materials.
