Position Title: Data Engineer
Overview: Bykea is a Pakistan based app offering motorbike transport, deliveries, commerce and payment matchmaking services on its marketplace platform. Over 2 million registered users drive utility from Bykea in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.
Position Specific Overview:
We are looking for a professional who can help maintain and develop Big Data Solutions to accelerate analytics and operational capacity of the organization.
Job Role – This position will be tasked with these main objectives:
- At least 2 – 4 years of experience in Data Architecture Systems.
- Hands On experience Apache Spark and Apache Hadoop.
- Have experience in one or more development languages like Scala (preferred), Python.
- Have the ability to start projects from the ground up.
- Designing Data Pipeline Architectures.
- Plan and Develop Solutions for Big Data Systems.
- Identify and Gather Data from required Data Sources.
Requirements – What you roughly look like as a professional:
- Experience & Qualifications:
a. BS in Computer Science or related degree
b. Prior experience in required skills - Skillset:
a. Hands On experience on BigQuery, SQL based Database systems
b. Hands On experience with Python.
c. Hands on experience with Scala.
d. Have Machine Learning Knowledge. - Personality
