Job Summary:

Will be responsible to promote and restore patients’ health by completing the nurse process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients ¹ and families, and supervising assigned team members.

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in administration of chemotherapy drugs, dosages, and side effects.
• Provide bedside teaching regarding benefits and side effects of chemotherapy medication and blood transfusion for all hematology and oncology patients and their families.
• Ensure provision of pain management, palliative care, and psychological/emotional care.
• Maintain confidentiality of patients’ records.
• To perform other duties as assigned by the management.

Knowledge & Competencies:

• CPR and BLS Certification
• Having critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work as a team member

Requirements:

Academic Qualifications: Matric/Intermediate in Science

Professional Qualifications:

• 3-year diploma in general nursing from PNC and HEC accredited college/school of nursing.
• OR 4-year bachelor’s in nursing from PNC and HEC accredited college/university.

Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a recognized hospital.
