Functional responsibilities include safe and cost effective maintenance of the plant, safety of people and assets, competence development through skills training, maintenance planning, customer satisfaction through equipment availability and plant emergency handling
Skills – Generic:
• Planning and organizing
• Communication
• People management skills; good IR skills and man-management capabilities that would help handle the non-management staff and the contractor’s management
• Practical experience of handling unionized staff would be an added benefit
• Performance management and controlling
Skills- Job specific:
• Excellent knowledge regarding machines, spare parts, operations and maintenance
• Sound and thorough knowledge regarding safety measures and laws
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and with the given deadlines as well
• Organised, systematic and precise skills
• Lead in quality, speed and cost competitiveness
