The Institute of Regional Studies, an Islamabad-based autonomous and not-for-profit think tank, invites applications along with detailed CVs from qualified candidates to fill the following positions on open merit basis.

Research Officer (BPS 18)

• Qualifications: MPhil. in Social Sciences (preferably international relations, defence and strategic studies, economics, political science, peace and conflict studies, or IT) from a reputable university, 5 years of research experience, at least 5 research papers published in reputable national and international journals.
• Age limit: Not more than 40 years old on October 22, 2024.
• Duration: 1 year (initially), extendable.
• Positions: 1 required for 1 year, 1 required for 6 months.

Assistant Research Officer (BPS 17)

• Qualifications: MPhil./Master in Social Sciences (preferably international relations, defence and strategic studies, economics, political science, or peace and conflict studies) from a reputable university.
• Age limit: Not more than 35 years old on October 22, 2024.
• Duration: 6 months, extendable.
• Positions: 1 required.
