Position Vacant: Project Manager
Administration & Development Department invites applications for the position of Project Manager.
The applicant should be able to (among other tasks)
- To plan and design the structures/architecture for the University.
- To prepare a project timeline to ensure timely completion of projects.
- To ensure that projects are completed within the time frame and budgetary constraints.
- To prepare BOQs, a supply chain plan for procurement of project-related materials.
- To control the time, cost and quality of construction projects.
- To monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with University safety codes.
- To verify the contractorโs billing after making necessary deductions for processing of payments for approval.
- To perform geotechnical analysis and study to assess construction site conditions.
- To perform field and environmental investigations for construction projects.
- To analyze geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations and prepare data report.
- To handle all the issues on site, whether related to Government departments, labour, material, and others.
- To develop, design, and draw specifications for construction projects.
- Timely acquisition of supplies and materials required to complete construction projects.
- To coordinate with architects, contractors, administrative staff and government bodies on matters pertaining to construction projects.
- To review architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
- To create and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule to perform regular checkups so as to avoid breakdown and disrepair.
- To maintain and repair all plumbing and electrical fixtures to ensure they are in working order at all times.
- To install and repair all doors, hardware, acoustical ceilings, flooring and tenant improvements.
- To conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labour costs.
- To measure the drawings and calculate the quantities of materials to procure such as cement, sand, aggregates, steel, bricks, blocks, tiles, paint, etc.
- Prepare, negotiate and analyze costs for maintenance and repair work
- To supervise work effort, value completed work and arrangement of payments.
- To supervise all construction projects from beginning to the end.
- To generate and report legal descriptions, and provide supervision in the preparation of exhibits to be used in the acquisition process.
- To inspect and compute the work and projects, site visits, assessments and projections for future work.
- Inspect and review construction projects at IU to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.
- To prepare a reconciliation statement based on the Qty. of Materials received, Qty. of materials used, balance on-site and then calculate the material wastage.
- To prepare monthly cost reports, progress reports, cash flow reports etc.
Qualification: Masters preferably in Civil Engineering & Project Management from a renowned HEC recognized University.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of development, construction & structural strategy, strong negotiation skills, and good communication skills etc.
- Understanding of the functioning and needs of educational institutions.
Experience (Minimum):
- At least 4 to 5 years of full-time relevant work

Position Vacant: Site Engineer
Administration & Development Department invites applications for the position of Site Engineer.
The applicant should be able to (among other tasks)
- To complete a building construction project in time.
- To prepare a master schedule, monthly plan for the project.
- To set a weekly target based on monthly targets and track it on a daily basis.
- To ensure contractor selection and material delivery on time.
- To estimate the required materials for the task, make requisition for the materials.
- To mention the material delivery date on the purchase requisition, send the requisition to purchase department on time.
- To ensure the materialโs quality and quality of work.
- To regularly visit sites and organizing facilities, overseeing building work.
- To check technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly.
- To ensure projects meet agreed specifications, budgets or timescales.
- To coordinate with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the project manager.
- To provide technical advice and solving problems on-site.
- To prepare site reports and filling in other paperwork.
- To liaise with quantity surveyors about the ordering and negotiating the price of materials.
- To ensure the health and safety and sustainability of the project.
Qualification: Masters preferably in Civil Engineering from a renowned HEC recognized University.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of development & construction strategy, strong negotiation skills, and good communication skills etc.
- Understanding of the functioning and needs of educational institutions.

Position Vacant: Resident Architect
Administration & Development Department invites applications for the position of Resident Architect.
The applicant should be able to (among other tasks)
- Design, plan, and prepare detailed working drawings for the construction of University projects.
- Assist the Project and Development team in formulating plans to guide the architectural tasks in the project.
- Conduct supervision responsibilities and ensure that supervision guidelines are being adhered by the site team at all times.
- Review and assess contractors and sub-contractors pre-qualifications and make recommendations to the Project Manager regarding the selection and approval of sub-contractors.
- Review and understand all project contract documents (drawings, shop drawings, composite coordinate service shop drawings, specifications, contract documents etc.).
- Prepare BOQ, quantities take-off, measurements and verification of bills.
- Plan the execution of the construction to avoid delays.
Qualification: Masters preferably in Architect from a renowned HEC recognized University.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of interior & landscaping design for commercial, residential & master planning, strong negotiation skills, and good communication skills etc.
- Understanding of the functioning and needs of educational institutions.
Experience (Minimum): At least 4 to 5 years of full-time relevant work
Salary: Market Competitive
