Damco Latest Jobs May 2016 : Will be responsible to ensure that Damco Pakistan operations are and remain in full compliance with, trade compliance policies, Charter of Compliance, Laws and regulations, Group policies and procedures. The person will be responsible for ensuring that whistle blower reports are investigated thoroughly, objectively and promptly, taking all relevant facts into account under the guidance of BCO and GIA. Compliance will support the country management in remedying Audit findings.
Managing shipment related litigations, claims and business legal affairs and to obtain the lawyerโs opinion on complex industry matter to guide the operations and Commercial team.
HSSE portfolio and site safety management to ensure that work environment and practices are safe which would eventually contribute in reduced number of claims and reduced costs.
Manage trade compliance in Pakistan
Anticipate how changes in regulatory environment relating to Company matters, Statutory compliance, customs or any other laws may affect the operations of the company.
Implement and further develop the trade compliance program in close cooperation with Regional Head of Compliance and the Damco Global Compliance Network
Monitor trade compliance program and report progress to management
Keep updated and implement relevant risk mitigating actions
Lead,/Supervise/Conduct and overseeing internal investigations on fraud & whistleblower reports under the guidance of Global, Regional compliance, BCO and GIA
Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders in the area, and other APMM business units within the IMEA region for furthering the agenda of compliance
Trade Compliance incl. compliance with following regulations and Group policies
Anti-Corruption and demands for extortion, Bribe and
FP and taking actions as per Group guidelines
Competition compliance (antitrust) & developing capabilities to manage Dawn raid by various authorities Taking initiatives to promote Compliance awareness and encouraging employees to bring forward Reflags and non-compliances
Handling Claims and Legal matters and representing the Company in the Court of Law
Conduct Due Diligence on Vendors and Supplier before onboarding
Incumbent should have a proven knowledge of all relevant laws, such as anti-corruption, competition compliance and control that regulate the logistics industry.
Incumbent should have hands on experience in auditing, risk and controlling
Knowledge of all the financial controls
Worked in a dynamic environment, preferably with a broad experience from control perspective
Experience In The Logistics Industry Is Essential
Experienced in training and transfer of knowledge
Proven track record in delivering results through others
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience. (Experience in Finance and/or Corporate Law will be given prefference)
