Firefighter

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Responding to fire alarms quickly to regulate and extinguishing fires (all types).
• Responsible for maintaining and inspecting of rescue and fire fighting equipment including vehicles, hoses, water hydrants, fire extinguishers.
• Provide emergency medical services with compliance to established standards.
• Inspect scenes of fire or accidents to identify causes or discover significant findings.
• Clean up fire scenes by removing debris and burned items.
• Respond to other emergency situations and assist those in need. ¹   1. jiji.ng jiji.ng
• Conduct fire safety trainings, fire drills, fire practices and demonstration.
• Perform standby on duty on demand through HOT WORK PERMITS.
• Conduct fire safety rounds and report unsafe practices.
• Check all firefighting equipment & stickers as per procedure and schedule and fill inspection check list for record.
• Familiar with operation & use of fire water and gas suppression systems.
• Familiar with evacuation techniques and know to read fire and evacuation plan.
• Must be familiar with all types of portable & trolley mounted fire extinguishers.
• Ability to perform inspection fire pump room and accessories.

Qualification:

• Graduate, Intermediate

Certification:

• Fireman or Lead Fireman Course from Federal Civil Defence, preferably IOSH certificated

Experience:

• 03 to 04 year(s) as Fire Fighter in leading Companies and/or Hospitals.
