Position: Insights Lead

Responsibilities



  • Lead the development of data and insights for all Beverages categories.
  • Be a resource for marketing (BU) for developing consumer and market place insights to sustain competitive advantage for all PI Beverages brands.
  • Support management/brand teams on categories and brand performance
  • Provide regular updates to management/brand teams on volume/KPIs and share in a competitive context.
  • Be involved with Marketing team and advertising agencies in developing and evaluating advertising campaigns (lead copy testing)
  • Evaluate advertising, positioning and platform effectiveness for all brands and feedback into the advertising development process
  • Develop protocols for evaluation and monitoring of all types of innovation
  • Support deeper analysis of the business issues in specific areas with the brand teams
  • Identify, integrate and synthesize category and consumer insights, to segment and target opportunities for New Product Development
  • Highlight areas of opportunities in segments, new categories, pricing of packs etc.
  • Provide analysis to Bottlers and Sales teams on categories/brand/franchise
  • Provide regular diagnostics to Bottler/Sales teams on volume/KPIs and share in a competitive context and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop protocols for evaluation and monitoring of all types of launches
  • Support deeper analysis of the business issues in specific areas with the Bottler/Sales teams.
  • Build Capability with Brand Teams and Research Agencies in fact-based Marketing
  • Improve understanding and usage of Retail Audits, CTS and Copy testing.
  • Support training and data integrity to improve usage across the organization.
  • Improve Best Practices and sharing of results to improve collective knowledge in the organization.
  • Build Research processes, systems and protocols.
  • Own and improve Briefing process to the research agencies.
  • Ensure quality of fieldwork and consolidation of reports against briefs.
  • Define and drive action standards with the brands teams and facilitate the development of research expertise across teams and ensure the staff are equipped with the organizationโ€™s best practices in research.
  • Evaluate agency proposals based on methodologies and cost and manage the research budget for the entire portfolio.
  • Organize and own analytical presentations to brand teams based on research conducted.
  • Introduce new research and insights initiatives internally and amongst partner agencies.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement in the level of service and quality outputs provided by key suppliers by ensuring consistency in approach and deliverables
  • Work on Revenue Management
  • Focus on Shopper/Consumer architecture in order to jump start the RM journey
  • Design and conduct key researches to get main insights into pricing, packs and occasions
  • Ensure suppliers are selected as per the GCS process and execute their duties as expected of them.


Qualifications

Knowledge:

  • MBA from a reputable local or international university
  • Must be skilled in analysis and problem solving and have excellent project and financial management skills

Experience:

  • FMCG background
  • 6-7 years of work experience
  • Brand marketing/insights/CRM experience

Overview

Provide leadership and set strategic direction for Commercial Sales population while working together with HR Business Partner โ€“ Commercial and Sales leadership team to design and implement HR strategy, processes and systems that translate into tangible business benefits and advantaged capabilities โ€“ within the whole Sales ecosystem. Bring innovation and lead employee engagement, D&I and Winning with Puprose agenda through effective & strategic business partnering. Recognise opportunities of new or improved HR best people practices for the business. Part of role is also to share / establish best practices in the area of Human resources to build a strong organizational culture and team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead HR business partnering in Commercial Sales team by strategically leading a long-term talent agenda for Sales population โ€“ spanned over 159 direct distributors and a retail universe of 300,000 shops around Pakistan (Snacks Sales business is widespread across urban and rural Pakistan โ€“ approx.. 881,913 km2 is the area spread of the country.
  • Maintain a healthy working environment by leading the implementation of innovative and creative programs oriented to promote front line staff engagement and motivation as well as coordinate and ensure OHS survey execution and actions plans.
  • Develop and execute talent decisions such as salary increases, HC control, new hires, contract renewals, disciplinary actions, internal moves, and structures changes for the sales team.
  • Collating employee development needs from PDRs / PPP discussions /ongoing discussions & mapping with available development programs. Ascertaining group development needs and evaluating the need for any development intervention/s. Tracking & updating the progress on the Capability & learning front.
  • Build the Employee Engagement Plan for overall Sales population โ€“ a macro plan for the whole team as well as effective execution via collaboration with Sales Leads, Zonal Sales Managers & Area Sales Managers
  • Identification of training needs for frontline team and collaboration with Talent Management team with the planning and execution of the functionโ€™s training strategy at all levels especially for front line. (Includes all levels from L01 โ€“ L11)
  • Identify the needs and develop a strategy for competency based recruitment and selection of right candidates Sales team. Also responsible for pre-joining & post joining support and smooth onboarding (online Profile creation & Offline onboarding) for all new hires.
  • Ensure consistent and impactful coaching of leaders to effectively drive people agenda, work cross functionally and deliver results with the field sales teams.
  • Lead D&I, engagement & Training & development agenda for Sales team. Design a people strategy to ensure best in class environment & development interventions.
  • Spearhead ERC cost optimization for relevant population, leading from the front to ensure minimum variance (Allowed variance 1% or below).
  • Drive a culture of high performance via effective implementation of PMP processe inlcuding Objective Setting, People Planning, effective employee development initiatives as well as quality performance year long discussions.
  • Focus on the leadership development of HIPOs within the function and prepare leaders for tomorrow through PepsiCo leadership growth model philosophy.
  • Conduct quarterly HR roadshows all over Pakistan for Sales population
  • Facilitate & support HRBP Commercial in operational activities for whole Commerial population
  • Ensure timely completion of COC Certification/OHS/FPR/MYR/PDR etc. as team is working remotely in differed locations (online & offline population, both).
  • Track and execute employee confirmation process within 90 days of new hire including degree verifiacation, reference checks & CNIC verifications.
  • Tracking & execution of Exit for resigned employees after getting clearance from all stakeholders โ€“ building insights & analytics on employee exit data to ensure Sales turnover is well below market norm.
  • Responsible to ensure KC Testing for Pak BU Commercial team and ensure 100% compliance to following all processes and procedures in line with Control environment, all documentation to be upto date online & offline both.
  • Uphold documentation for updated Org charts, JD review & Employee Files
  • Support Sales team working from different location for Admin, HR & IT related issues e.g. issuance of Visa letter, job certificates for different purposes & experience letter etc.
  • Support Team for updating employeeโ€™s reporting in MYHR after Promotion. Transfer Ins/Out or other hierarchical change, issues related to MY P&D, MYHR, and MYHR self-service.

Qualifications

Masters in HRM

Efficient in MS Excel, Powerpoint & Word

Train the trainer certification is an added advantage

Experience

Preferably 5-6 years experience in similar capacity/operating organization with HR exposure

Well versed in handling large teams and multiple stakeholders
