We are looking for a skilled and proactive professional to lead our Mechanical Workshop operations at Sapphire – Diamond Fabrics Limited. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing fabrication activities, managing workshop teams, and ensuring the smooth execution of mechanical support tasks. This is a hands-on leadership role that demands technical expertise, operational excellence, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise daily operations of the mechanical workshop, including fabrication, lathe work, milling, and gear cutting.
• Ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with technical drawings, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Manage task allocation to machinists, welders, and fabricators, ensuring efficient workflows and timely job completion.
• Oversee the maintenance and availability of workshop machinery, tools, and inventory.
• Coordinate with other departments to provide mechanical support for urgent breakdowns and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate records of job execution, material consumption, and equipment performance.
Experience & Qualification:
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in mechanical workshop operations, with demonstrated team management and leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, workshop tools, and safety practices.
• Excellent coordination and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) or B.Tech in Mechanical or a related discipline.
