Senior Electrical Design Enginee

Our Client a specialist in the design of Waste water treatment plants are searching for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. You will be directly reporting to the Head of Engineering Section – Electrical
Duties and Responsibilities
• Establish design concepts and design data for work assigned to design team and assures technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for equipment selection and updating project drawings in relation to process, civil and Mechanical design
• Review system calculations and studies for electrical power systems – load flow, voltage drop, motor starting, short circuit studies, earthing system and relay coordination studies.
• Review material requests, review suppliers technical offers, address suppliers to resolve technical related comments and compiling technical submittal for client’s approval
• Preparation of technical comparisons sheets.
• Review preliminary and final design with other disciplines for function, clearances, coordination, and final design selection.
• Prepare Cause & Effect diagrams, faults matrix and assist in preparing the narrative control philosophy.
• Review and check project electrical drawings for compliance with all company and project specifications (One-line diagrams, electrical equipment location drawings, plan drawings, details, schematics, wiring diagrams and cable schedule, etc.
• Review instrumentation and control documentations such as P&IDs, panel’s layout, schematic wiring diagrams, interconnection diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, instruments schedule list, engineering submittals and other project deliverables.
• Develop technical bid tabulation to support the selection of major electrical equipment.
• Review preliminary and final design with other disciplines for function, clearances, coordination, and final design selection.
• Participate in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits and design revisions/ change management.
• Ensure that final design matches the client and project teams’ requirements.
• Review of complete layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.
• Attend Factory inspection & monitor of electrical, control and instrumentation packages.
• Work Closely with the procurement team to manage suppliers technical input and ensure their compliance and consistency in providing proper flow of technical data during the procurement – Design life cycle
