Shell Pakistan is looking to hire HSSE Advisor in Karachi.
The HSSE Officer is responsible for overseeing and implementing safety, health, environmental, and security practices to ensure a safe working environment. With an aim to achieve Goal Zero, we need to build a strong culture where everyone is motivated to relentlessly pursue no harm to people, assets, environment, and the communities we operate in. The Operational HSSE discipline partners with the Businesses to achieve Goal Zero by providing them with overall safety support and to ensure delivery of effective HSSE management processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the oil & gas or fuel retail industry.
Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations, risk management, and emergency response.

Develop and enforce health and safety protocols on-site.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the fuel stations.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying causes and implementing corrective actions.
Passionate about working with the frontline staff and providing hands-on support to various tiers of the organization including Sales, Engineering, Operations, Road transport, Security.
Deliver support to the Businesses and to the HSSE and SP disciplines in the fundamental areas of Behavioral HSSE, Contractor HSSE Management, Emergency Response, Incident Investigation and Learning, and Product Stewardship.
Supporting assurance in HSSE compliance as per the HSSE Control Framework and local laws
Focal in Monitoring and reporting of HSSE KPIs as per the Performance monitoring and reporting requirement.
Provide support and assurance for the business ensuring HSSE risks are identified and managed to ALARP.
Supporting the HSSE PK team in various initiatives, closure of audit actions, and LOD1 SME Reviews.
Identify potential hazards related to fuel handling, equipment, and customer interactions.
Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements to mitigate risks.
Establish emergency response plans and organize training sessions for staff.
Able to travel across the country to various sites in the region.
Monitor environmental impacts, including fuel spill prevention, waste disposal, and emissions.
Work closely wit security to share guidelines regarding site security and employee security.
Organize regular HSSE training sessions for staff and partners.
Ensure all employees are aware of emergency procedures and safety guidelines.
Keep updated records of training, incidents, and HSSE compliance.
Prepare detailed reports on health, safety, and environmental incidents.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training activities.
Present reports to management and suggest actionable improvements.
