Simpaisa is looking for Sanction Screening Analyst to join our compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough background checks and screenings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is critical in mitigating risk and maintaining the integrity of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive sanctions screenings of new and existing clients, vendors, partners and remittances.
- Clear screening alerts in a timely manner to maintain compliance with regulatory deadlines and internal policies.
- Analyze and assess the risk associated with individuals and entities based on screening results.
- Identify and escalate potential compliance risks to the Compliance Manager.
- Continuously monitor and review the status of screened entities to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all screening activities and results.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations for management.
- Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information for screenings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in finance, law, business administration.
- 1- 2 years of proven experience in a compliance role, preferably within the banking industry.
- Experience with SWIFT and remittance transactions.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using compliance screening tools i.e. Worldcheck1, Safewatch.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional certification in compliance (e.g., CAMS, CGSS) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You will work closely with our clients and internal teams to ensure seamless service operations, with a focus on maintaining high availability and rapid response to any issues that arise.
Responsibilities:
ยท Monitor and manage service performance metrics using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools to ensure optimal service delivery and proactive issue resolution.
ยท Utilize API logs to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
ยท Generate and analyze incident reports, provide insights on root causes, and develop strategies to mitigate future risks.
ยท Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to provide regular updates on service status and incident management.
ยท Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
ยท Coordinate with technical and support teams to ensure alignment with service level agreements (SLAs) and client expectations.
Requirement:
ยท Bachelorโs in computer science or related field.
ยท 2-3 years of experience in service delivery, particularly in a technology-focused role.
ยท Strong understanding of AWS CloudWatch and proficiency in using various monitoring tools to manage and analyze service performance.
ยท Excellent skills in API log analysis and problem-solving.
