Hiring: Assistant Manager Logistics
Location: Islamabad
Job Responsibilities:
- Scheduling transportation for goods and materials to and from China
- Communicating with vendors and freight forwarders to coordinate shipments
- Estimating shipping costs and preparing quotations by RFQ and PO
- Tracking shipments and updating internal stakeholders on estimated arrival times
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Ensuring that shipments comply with customs regulations and are cleared from ports accordingly
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in business, logistics, or in relevant field
- 2-4 years of experience in freight forwarding or a related field
- Working knowledge of global trade routes, customs rules and regulations, and documentation
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
