Position: Big Data Engineers/ Administrator
- Responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of Hadoop infrastructure.
- Cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes, HDFS support and maintenance.
- Backup and restores, Cluster Monitoring and Troubleshooting.
- Manage and review Hadoop log files, File system management and monitoring.
- Design, implement and maintain security, Data capacity and node forecasting and planning.
- Closely working with the infrastructure, network, database, application, and business intelligence teams to ensure data quality and availability.
- Set up Hadoop Native Encryption on the clusters. Enable Kerberos on non-Kerberized clusters.
- Upgrade and migrate from HDP distribution to CDP distribution.
- Manage Hadoop and Spark cluster environments – Cluster sizing, cluster configuration, smoke testing, service allocation, security setup, performance tuning and ongoing monitoring.
AWS Cloud:
- Should have experience with management/provisioning of Redshift Cluster, AWS-EMR, EC2 and S3.
- Experience with AWS data ecosystem.
