UN/HCR International staff members assigned to the operation in Quetta reside in UN/DSS approved accommodations. Such is limited to Serena Hotel Quetta and International Staff Accommodations arranged/run by UN Agencies itself. Given the fact that UNHCR has a large presence in the province, it has been maintaining and running its own accommodation unit for the past decades. The need for such an arrangement is continuous given the security restrictions, as well as staff welfare. The International Staff Accommodation is managed in accordance with UNHCR Guidelines for accommodation. The Unit management requires full-time dedicated Manager who will be the focal point of the Officeโs Admin Unit for any issues related to the Staff Accommodation, as well as focal point for tenants for the issues/concerns occurring throughout their residency period.
- Purpose and Scope of Assignment

- Ensure that UNHCR International Staff Accommodation is managed in accordance with Organizationโs standards and guidelines.
- Serve as a focal point within Admin Unit for all issues/concerns related to the International Staff Accommodation management and maintenance.
- Guide and supervise 3rd. party Contractorโs service personnel, such as cleaners, electricians, cooks, plumbers, gardeners, etc., and ensure that the condition of the accommodation and services provided are at the high standards.
- Manage the funds contributed by the tenants for provision of meals through the arrangements made by the โGuesthouse Committeeโ.
- Timely collection of fees from the short-term guests and non-UN/HCR guests, maintain records and report to UNHCR Admin/Finance Unit.
- Ensure that comfort and welfare of the tenants is taken care of through service-oriented approach.
- Analyze feedback received from the tenants and advise UNHCR Admin Unit on the required improvements.
- Monitor and manage booking in Humanitarian Booking Hub
- Provide initial security briefing to the Guests upon check-in and ensure they are aware of the security safe heavens within the premises.

- UNHCR International Staff Accommodation is managed in accordance with the Organizationโs standards and guidelines and information required for reporting purposes on such is available at all times;
- Concerns of the tenants are taken care timely and adequately and there is minimum negative feedback;
- Rooms and common areas are regularly maintained and cleaned;
- Support personnel is aware of the task distribution and perform tasks satisfactorily;
- Overall spirit of the staff accommodation is sound and healthy;
- Funds collected through the tenants are accounted for and regular reports are shared with the Guesthouse Committee.
- Qualifications and Experience

- Education (Level and area of required and/or preferred education)
Completion of High School Diploma with relevant experience in business administration, hospitality management or hotel management or related fields.
2 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 1 year relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher.
- Work Experience
Work experience as a Guesthouse or Hotel Manager, or any similar role;
Candidate must be aware of hospitality management.
- Languages;
The candidate should have a good command on English language (speaking and writing) to communicate properly with the international staff and guests.
