Position Titleย : Assistant Brand Manager

Position Type:ย Contractual

Key Responsibilities:

  • ย Align cross functional teams on projects, regularly follow up with them on it
  • ย Should be able to analyze data and identify issues and opportunities
  • Effectively manage and run E2E innovation processes & network
  • ย Micro manage key markets and channels and make an action plan accordingly
  • ย Should have a good understanding of the media scenario in Pakistan and work closely with media, outdoor and digital agencies on media plans
  • ย Coordinate with third parties/agencies for launches, events, activation
  • Manage the P&L of the portfolio
  • Work closely with brand development team on the strategy, innovation plan and communication calendar for the brands
  • ยทShould be flexible to travel and do regular market visits and consumer meets in order to stay closer to customer and consumer
  • Knowledge or Experience in Foods Category is preferable

Competencies:

  • Should have a good understanding of the media landscape of Pakistan
  • ย A good understanding of P&L to be able to work on pricing scenarios with commercial and at the same time work with supply chain on controlling costs

Education:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree Required

JOB PURPOSE

The Talent Partner is in charge of delivering a best in class recruiting experience to Hiring Managers and candidates throughout the recruiting life cycle. They provide strategic support to the Line Manager and a โ€œmore humanโ€ experience for candidates. They partner with the HRBP and talent champion for the function(s) to create proactive demand plans and long term external talent pools.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Accountable for Speed, cost and experience through the recruitment cycle
  • Driving forecasting & demand planning discussions in partnership with HRBPs
  • Continuously improving Sourcing strategy with sourcing channel innovation
  • Attending local talent reviews and appointment forums for the function/s (if requested by HRBP) and proactively partner the resourcing needs and strategies of the function
  • Developing sourcing methods to find the best drivers of talent
  • Utilizing digital sourcing tools to develop pipelines of internal and external talent against functional talent strategies
  • Owning proactive talent relationship management. Inspiring passive talent about Unilever and delivering an exceptional experience throughout the engagement piece
  • Organizing, managing and continuously improving proactive talent events (clearing house)
  • Add the selected candidates into the pipeline database and engage with a proactive plan
  • Conducting talent mapping as required for the function/s
  • Providing external functional insights to the business
  • Leading local functional specific projects (e.g. diversity.)
  • Holding advisory meetings with Line Manager and HRBP to triage resourcing needs where there is no internal succession plan. Consulting on most effective talent solutions across early careers, mid careers and contingent.
  • Managing E2E talent relationship management
  • Translating and adhere to the Employer brand global strategy
  • Utilizing digital screening tools to create shortlists of the best talent against demands
  • Conducting recruitment drives and anchoring selection process by coordinating between HM & candidates
  • Negotiating and manage verbal offers with candidates after receiving HRBPs inputs.
  • Managing the on-boarding process for candidates (from offer acceptance to Day 1) manage on-boarding checklist (tasks employee needs to complete before Day 1)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelors degree required
  • 1-2 years of experience in talent acquisition is preferred

Job Summary

The primary purpose of the position is to integrate shopper insights, brand JTBDโ€™s, trade and shoppers strategies to align category ambition across all channels in Unilever. The role requires cross functional alignment with marketing, channel & shopper marketing and customer business development ย teams to ensure smooth delivery of key category objectives.ย 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a winning Trade and Shopper Marketing strategy, integrating the plan across the Path to Purchase touch points.
  • Understand and define the shopper triggers and barriers to purchase to sharpen the key jobs to be done to deliver growth. Translate insights into business building opportunities within specific customers/channels
  • Develop and use channel specific category and shopper insights towards business building opportunities within specific customers/channels
  • Build channel specific category strategy and plans (CFCS) to deliver category/brand objectives in conjunction with the categoryโ€™s IOP and CD Strategy/IOP
  • Integration of Shopper Marketing Plans with Brand Marketing Plan and channel/customer business planning
  • Work with Channel Managers to ensure excellence in In-Store Activation and delivery of integrated Customer Business Plan and Shopper Marketing Plan
  • Communicate the Customerโ€™s/Channels Marketing and Business Strategy to the brand teams
  • Integrate Channelโ€™s and customersโ€™ Shopper input into Innovation program
  • Manage trade BMI and discretionary trade investments. Develop and execute transformative engagement at the point of purchase through best in class POS suite
  • Ensure Brand standards for channels are adhered to, manage collaborative creative agency relationships through inspirational briefs, deliver the complete look of success brief and material to the channels and customers. E.g. consistent use of brand key visuals, instore visuals, shopper engagement themes aligned with brand activationย 
  • Lead execution of plans & activities including Design for Channel
  • Lead NRM on the category
  • Analyze the ROI of the shopper marketing activities executed with the customer. Review and analyse results (and the 6 P performance) with pre-set targets to identify which and where to spend our SM budget

Essential Functions

  • Maintain cross functional alignment within Business Group, , channels & shopper marketing team, account managers and distributive trade teams
  • Develop multiyear shopper/trade category plans for all channels in line with the IBP & IOP
  • Communicate and share channels, customers and shopper feedback in brand meetings and incorporate feedback in shopper marketing and brand plans
  • Keep track and report competition activities and develop/integrate plans counter competition in line with category ambitions
