Position: Executive IP Core
Location: Islamabad, Head Office
Job Summary:
Ensure smooth operation of wi-tribe Core network in order to provide maximum performance and availability for the end users. An active member of team of network professionals performing Core IP network engineering, design, installation, configuration, optimization and L2/L3 support.
Regular duties:
- Active member of a team of network engineers for implementation, optimization and operation of core network systems including installation, configuration and management
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for network & systems/servers, create and maintain network documentation, configuration backups, maintain hardware and software standards, and work on projects as and when assigned
- Be able to troubleshoot and fix complex network issues and upon restoration, follow up on root causes
- Duties and responsibilities outlined may vary over time and are subject to management review and amendment.
- Any other task assigned by senior management.
- Perform regular audit & health check to ensure that underline network provide security and confidentially in line with business needs
- Perform growth planning and performance analysis of production systems, implement complex hardware and software upgrades to meet capacity requirements
- Any other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the manager/s
Qualification & Experience:
- 2 years of experience in network planning, design, deployment and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline. Candidates with technical certifications will be preferred
- Possess a strong understanding of technology both for IP and wireless involving Access & Core network
- Strong technical background, hands-on experience in a large WAN, LAN, environment
- IP routing, switching, MPLS, VPLS, WiMAX, LTE, network security knowledge and expertise
