ZIAUDDIN UNIVERSITY IS SEEKING FOR AN ENTHUSIASTIC INDIVIDUAL FOR THE ROLE OF NETWORK TECHNICIAN
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Installing computer networks, connections and cabling
- Fixing problems in LAN infrastructure, testing and configuring software
- Troubleshooting system failures and identifying issues in the network
- Evaluating network performance to improve the network
- Maintaining and repairing hardware, including peripheral devices
- Working with vendors to get needed equipment for the networks and systems
- Scheduling upgrades and maintenance without interrupting business workflow
- Design network capacity-building in consideration of present and future hardware requirements
- Provide technical support and training to end users on network-related issues
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies & best practices to continuously improve the network infrastructure
- Knowledge of all software applications used within the organisation and also knows about the hardware
- Perform all active and passive work on-site
- Must track all documentation network configurations
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as a network technician or relevant position
- Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies
- Hands-on experience with common software and hardware
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Exceptional organising and time-management skills
